June 7 marked the start of Velvet Workshops. Since then, we have been watching nine people find their way. After few meetings, listening and learning together, the atmosphere in the room feels different: fewer mysteries, fewer masks. We talk. We help. We hold space.

Before the mixes and stage lights, we invite everyone to open up to the group – to share their beginnings, their first sparks, the songs that shaped them, the stories behind their tastes and the emotions that arise when sound awakens. They are still at the beginning of their journey – learning about the equipment and the language of decks, but what is really developing is trust, curiosity and a sense of belonging.

It’s not just about how to play, but why we play and who we become in the process of learning. One conversation at a time, we are building a community that, above all, listens to each other 🫂
